Tips for Natural Acne Scar Skin Care

Natural Acne Scar Skin Care

People who have sensitive skin need to be extra careful using acne scar skin care solutions.

One thing with sensitive skin is that it can develop cysts, pimples, and other symptoms of acne easier than oily, dry and normal types of skin, along with taking a longer time to heal.

Also, the chance for visible, stubborn, deep scars from acne is higher for those with sensitive skin.

Stay Away from Over the Counter Acne Treatments

If your sensitive skin is prone to acne, it is recommended that you stay away from some of the popular drugstore (over-the-counter) acne solutions. The reason being that these have ingredients that are harsh on the skin such as:

    • Benzoyl peroxide that can cause the skin to dry out and peel, along with the fact that skin rashes can occur
    • Salicylic acid, which some people have allergic reactions to when applied to their skin
    • Glycolic compounds can cause toxicity in the body

These solutions for acne scar skin care can cause sensitive skin to breakout, or can even make your acne worse!

Gentler Methods of Acne Skincare Can Still Work Well

Most of us think that we have to dry out the acne breakouts with harsh chemicals to get them to go away faster and reduce scarring, however there are some other ways to get your acne, and acne scars under control.

  • Do not scrub the skin to cleanse it.
  • Use only non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, soap free cleanser specially designed for the face and sensitive skin.
  • Use a moisturizer that has been specially formulated for sensitive skin. Moisturizing the skin in a very important part of best treatments for acne scars. The moisturizers stimulate collagen production, which diminishes the look of scars.
  • Avoid being exposed to the sun for long periods of time. When you do get out in it, apply a gentle, hypoallergenic sunscreen.
  • Do not rub your hands on your face. Also, do not let your face come into contact with your cell phone or your hair any more times than necessary.

You want to inflict as little trauma as possible to your skin. The acne has made your skin suffer enough stress and you should not place any added stress on it.

Change Your Eating Habits

I know, that’s not the quick and easy solution you might want to find for acne breakouts, but it is something that can help.

Gorgeous skin begins on the inside of the body it starts with what you eat. When you nourish your skin, it has the ability to stay clear and also to repair scarring.

Here are some good starting points that will help your body repair and clear up acne and the scars from older acne breakouts.

  • Drink the right amount of water so that toxins are flushed out of the body. This amount will vary depending on your weight, the season, your individual metabolism, and the climate you live in.
  • Eat plenty of fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, lean meats, whole grains, legumes and fish. It is best to eat foods that are rich in vitamin A and zinc, because they are beneficial in fighting scars from acne.
  • Avoid eating too many foods which can cause allergic reactions, such as caffeine, chocolate, fried foods, and dairy products.
  • Eat more fresh and live and whole foods, and less processed food.

The best treatments for acne scars begin with stopping the acne before it breaks out on the skin. Through nourishing the skin with the food you eat, you will lower your risk for an acne flare up happening, whether it is cysts or blackheads.

A wonderful side benefit of nourishing yourself with more healthy food is that your overall health and energy level will benefit as well. This is one of the simplest and most effective methods for acne skin care.

6 Natural Homemade Remedies for Beautiful Skin

Natural Homemade Remedies for Beautiful SkinIf there is a skincare product out there, I’ve probably tried it before. I’m the type of girl who’s always eager to try something new for my skin. I guess you could even say I was addicted to buying the latest creams and lotions no matter how much they cost.

But at the same time, I’ve reached my breaking point when it comes to skin care products. After using so many, I can’t help but conclude some of them aren’t worth the money. It’s fun to read about new products and imagine the potential if they lived up to their promises, but in many cases it’s just another cream.

I’ve recently started turning to home remedies that don’t cost much money at all. Some of them are incredibly soothing and do just as good a job in treating my skin.

Here are some of my favorites that you can try using common household items you might already have. Keep in mind that everybody’s skin is different so I can’t guarantee that all of them will give you the desired results you want.

Beautiful Skin in 6 Natural Homemade Remedies!

Oatmeal - let’s start off with something simple that you’ve probably eaten hundreds of times before. Good old-fashioned oatmeal happens to be great for your face. If you have problems with oily skin that gets oilier as the day goes on, a nice oatmeal mask will help every once in a while. It has the natural ability to soak up excess oil without stripping all the moisture from your skin. Just make sure you don’t start rubbing it in because it’s not and exfoliating product.

Green Tea - this isn’t something you apply to your face, but it’s the next best thing to water for your skin. It helps to relieve stress and tension while reducing free radicals thanks to an abundance of antioxidants. Try to find a brand that contains as little caffeine as possible.

Lemon and Eggs - you wouldn’t want to eat this concoction, but it can work wonders on your face. The eggs help to strengthen and sooth your skin cells. The lemon has slightly acidic properties that help to tone up your face and shrink pores.

A touch of honey - it tastes great and happens to be incredibly soothing for dry skin.Honey For Skin Even just a touch of honey mixed with something like milk or eggs yolks can make a difference.

Toothpaste - some people claim the effectiveness of toothpaste on acne is an urban legend, but I’ve seen the results for myself. I’m not sure the exact science behind it, but it seems to dry up pimples before they even form. Obviously you’re not going to go around slathering toothpaste all over your face, but you can use it strategically if you feel an outbreak coming on.

Aloe Vera - this is a common element found in many moisturizers, and you can even grow it yourself. It has natural healing properties and multiple applications whether you’re dealing with dry skin, rashes, or premature aging. You can also find it as an additive in some foods for a more natural internal approach as well.

Sometimes fighting problems like acne takes a multifaceted approach where you incorporate different elements. It can be challenging because a person’s skin reacts in different ways. You can find more advice on acne-related problems on this blog and at www.howtogetridofacne.com.

Tips on How to Get Rid of Acne…for Good!

How to Get Rid of AcneAcne affects millions of people. If you have acne, you are likely open to hearing tips on how to get rid of acne for good. You are not alone; other acne sufferers would also welcome any help they can get on how to get rid of acne.

There are two steps on how to get rid of acne for good. The first step involves laying down the foundation for clear skin. This means finding and following a good daily acne skin care routine. The second step involves treating the acne.

What is Acne?

If you want to learn how to get rid of this problem you must first understand what acne is, what causes it, how it is formed, etc. When you have a basic understanding of what this skin problem is, you will be able to develop the right preventative methods and treatments for you.

In simple terms, acne is a skin infection. It can be caused by a number of things such as dirty skin and hormones. Acne results from the pores being clogged. Clogged pores are caused by the excess oil produced by the glands underneath the skin. Excess oil combines with dirt and grime.

Bacteria is ever present, including in the skin. Clogged pores are the ideal breeding ground for acne causing bacteria. When the bacteria grows in the clogged pores, pus is formed. Outside, skin becomes swollen and red. Other times, blackheads and whiteheads result. Blackheads is the result of oil that has hardened in the pores.

How to Get Rid of Acne: Keep Your Skin Clean

Acne forms on dirty skin. Thus, keep your skin clean by washing twice a day every day. However, avoid washing your face too frequently, as doing so will dry out your skin and cause further acne breakouts. It isn’t just oily skin that is prone to acne; dry skin too. If your skin gets too dry, the oil glands kick into gear and produces more oil than necessary in an attempt to counteract the dryness.

Wash your face once in the morning and once in the evening. Use a gentle facial cleanser. Avoid using regular soap or laundry detergent to wash your face. They can dry out your skin and besides, they are not made for the skin. Avoid scrubbing or rubbing your face vigorously; doing so will only aggravate the acne. Rinse your face thoroughly.

Follow up the facial cleansing with exfoliating. There are facial scrubs available. This step removes dead skin cells and any dirt that the cleanser was not able to remove. After exfoliating, use a toner that’s specifically for your skin tone. The toner helps remove the dead skin cells left as well as any cleanser that remains on your face. It will also leave your skin feeling refreshed, minus the tightness.

Lastly, you will need to finish up with moisturizer. The moisturizer will replenish and hydrate your skin. Go with a moisturizer that is not oil-based and one that is specifically formulate for the face.

How to Get Rid of Acne: Treat Existing Acne

Treat any existing acne you may have. If you use an over-the-counter medication, make sure you use it according to the directions. Resist the temptation to apply more than what is recommended; otherwise your skin will become dry and you risk further acne breakouts.

Learning how to get rid of acne involves hard work and dedication. You must be dedicated to following a good daily skin care routine as well as be diligent in treating your acne.

Guidelines For Healthy Lips

Lips can be red, pink or even dark tones depending upon factors such as the skin color, type, genetic structure, growth hormone changes, use of cosmetics, smoking habits etc. The only thing common among all types are their layers.

Not unlike skin, lips are divided into three layers: stratum corneum i.e. the mucous membrane, epidermis and dermis. The upper layer is very thin, and it does not have sebaceous glands.

The capillaries lie just below the first layer giving them their color. Because of these characteristics lips cannot protect themselves from harsh UVA/UVB rays, dust, weather, wind and the other elements. This causes them to dry and chap.

Then there are some habits like licking the lips that causes damage as the lips cannot produce moisture (remember they do not have sebaceous glands that produce oil to protect the skin).

Lips are also the first contact you have with food. Hot or cold food items may damage the surface of the lips. They are also prone to serious diseases like cancer in some cases.

They are also a important component in different facial expression like sulking, smiling, sternness/firmness and happiness, to name a few.
So it becomes imperative to take extra care of our lips – year round. Wouldn’t you say?

Guidelines To Keep Lips Healthy with Natural Skin Treatments:

  1. See yummy ice cream, a chocolate brownie, cool lemonade? I bet you subconsciously licked your lips. Licking lips is not only a bad habit, but it also dries your lips. Some may argue that licking your lips leads to moist lips. Actually the reverse holds true. When a person licks the lips they become wet due to the saliva. However when it evaporates, it also dries up the lips by drying up the moisture in your lips. As studies have shown, the digestive enzymes in saliva acts upon the already thin layer of skin by exposing them and consequently drying them.
  2. Hydrate your lips naturally by drinking plenty water. Dehydration of the cells in the body adversely affects the cells in the lip’s skin. To replenish them it is essential to maintain adequate intake of liquids including water.
  3. Avoid staying in dry climates as they also contribute to a great extent in drying out the lips. Lips are dry and chapped during the summer due to the low levels of humidity in the air, while the winter chill also works adversely on the health of the lips. Hence, you should use a lip balm comprising of at least SPF15 on your lips year round.
  4. The harsh chemicals in lipsticks, lip glosses and lip liners are detrimental to your lips health. Many lip care products make use of alcohol which strips away whatever moisture is there in your lips by evaporating. Hence avoid using products which contain alcohol and try instead the plant based products which contain emollients such as lanolin, aloe vera juice or beeswax.
  5. Medications are harmful to the skin surface of the lips. In case of skin related problems such as acne, fungal infections, cold sore etc it becomes essential to apply some kind of medication on the face. These contain drying elements that adversely affect the lips. Even facial masks, peels, exfoliation crèmes or scrubs contain these ingredients thus drying out the lips if not moisturized well by using either a lip balm or petroleum jelly.

Recipe for Lip Scrub

We know now that lips also need re-hydrating which can be accomplished by way of drinking plenty fluids and using the appropriate lip balms. However, the surface of the lips also accumulates dead cells as a part of the wear and tear process of the body. In order to remove these you will need a gentle scrub. We have compiled a homemade recipe that makes use of ingredients such as honey, olive oil/sweet almond oil/sunflower oil, essential oil and granulated sugar.

Here’s how it is prepared:

Warm a teaspoon of honey in the microwave for 5 seconds. Remove and stir in 1 teaspoon olive oil/sunflower oil/sweet almond oil and add 2 teaspoon granulated sugar. Now add a drop of lemon juice and 1-2 drops of essential oils. You can also add a few drops of flavoring agents like mango, strawberry, lemon, peppermint/spearmint, orange, green apple etc. Mix together and apply the scrub on your lips in gentle circular motions. Wipe it off with the help of a damp soft tissue or cotton ball. Then apply the lip balm or moisturizer of your choice.

Exercises for your lips:

Lips can become soft, full and supple by either using filling injections or by adapting healthy practices like exercising. You can strengthen the muscles around your lips by using exercises that increase the blood flow to your face, thus stimulating collagen production in your lips.

Here’s how:

Press your lips together, firmly in a straight line. Now imagine someone or something is trying to pry it open and you are trying to resist. Keep your lips closed as tightly as possible. Now place the middle fingers at the lips/mouth’s corner and pull them out gently. Hold the position for 5 seconds and then relax. Repeat the process 10 times. This exercise will help you reduce wrinkles.

You can imitate a child by puckering up and moving your mouth from left to right and reverse. Do this ten times. And yes try not to laugh!

To avoid drying and chapping of lips take care of them as you would the rest of your body. Include lip care in your regime. However, if there is any kind of irritation or blackening, consult your medical practitioner as these might be signs of some disease.

Keep Chemicals off Your Face

Keep Chemicals off Your FaceThere are many benefits to buying organic skin and health care products.

In today’s market, you no longer have to reach out to find a specialty green company as many brand name companies offer organic products for little more than the price of their non-organic products.

For those looking for greener ways to live while still being frugal, purchasing organic skin care products is a perfect way to go.

Note : Do not confuse organic and natural items. Many brand name companies have all natural lines; these products are not 100% organic. Like the old saying goes, if you cannot pronounce it, you don’t need it.

Skin Care Products – Know What To Look For

Organic products may use scientific names for plants, but these are easily recognizable. An example is Lavandula, this is the scientific name for the Lavender plant, not some crazy warehouse-made chemical.

As more brand name companies explore organic products, the consumer gets a wider choice and better selection. In the end, you as the customer get the better deal, lower price and a wider selection of products to choose from giving you move availability.

However, we aren’t just limited to name brand organic skincare products. There are many different sites that sell organic items through the internet; this is normally cheaper than buying from a brand name company. These companies also create higher quality organic skin items than their brand name competitors!

It’s not only healthy for you, but the environment also. This is a thought to keep in mind when looking at any type of skincare.

Why put something on your skin that is filled with chemicals that can cause skin problems such as inflammation, itchiness and destroys the planet? Organic products are made from herbs, fruits, vegetables, and other natural occurring items.

This means they are 100% safe to you and the planet. Organic skincare products are readily absorbed into the Earth with no harm down to the local environment and are highly versatile and not limited to specific temperatures or regions like their chemical counterparts.

With the many different brands and forms available to customers, this diversity makes organic products cheap. Finding cheap organic products through the internet is easier than finding them at stores.

Most companies that sell online will give free shipping and discounts once you reach a certain price. This makes buying online not only less stressful than journeying to the local super market.

Making purchases online not only cut down on stress, but your feedback whether you are pleased or displeased with a product makes that company better.

Organic Skincare Products – The Only Way To Go

By using organic skincare products not only are you helping your body rid itself of toxic chemicals and impurities, but you are also helping the world around you become a healthier area.

Water won’t be contaminated because of organic waste byproducts, if you have family members with sensitive skin organic skin products do not irritate. However, if a person is allergic to something make sure it is not in the organic product.

Organic skincare products are easy to find and help you live a healthier life style without the threat of skin damaging chemicals that also harm the planet and animals. When looking for organic products, see if the companies recycle the containers, this helps cut down on trash in the bottom line.

Natural treatment for dark circle under eyes

dark circle under eyesIn this post we will talk about dark circle under eyes treatments to help improve your skin in those sensitive places.

This is a difficult subject to tackle because the dark circles under your eyes could just be a result of your genetic background or your age and not because you lack sleep or because you don’t drink enough water.

These areas on your face are unique because they don’t contain much fat and they are extremely sensitive. Some people just have dark circles and there nothing they can do about it except have surgery done.

You should discuss this with your dermatologist if you are interested.

On the other hand, your dark circles could be a result of an unhealthy life style. If that’s the case then this post is for you.

Dark Circles Under Eyes – 2 Treatment

Method 1 – Lifestyle change

The answer here is simple but perhaps difficult to commit to. You need to start going to bed earlier. You need to drink plenty of water everyday and try to stay away from coffee.

The most important tip I can pass on to you is to eat right! I know what you are thinking; “I’ve heard that a thousand times before! OR What does that mean anyways?”

The solution here is an extreme one (some people say so but I don’t think so): A whole foods diet.

That’s right! Get rid of all meats, processed food, foods in plastic bags, diary, eggs, white foods and all of that junk food.

Listen, besides helping you get rid of your dark circles this kind of lifestyle change will do wonders for the rest of your life!

It will also help you cut the risk of developing many forms of cancer, heart diseases, cholesterol build up etc…

This way of life will allow you to live longer, lose weight, gain tons of energy and you will also feel great. Start small, make three weeks of it. If you don’t feel better in every way that I mentioned then quit this diet. But I bet you will lose those dark circles and you will feel great.

However, if you want to continue your diet and get rid of those dark circles then you might want to start thinking about concealing them.

Method 2 – Hiding them

Look for foundation and concealers to hide and conceal the dark circles under your eyes. Your concealer should be one or two shades lighter than your foundation for maximum concealment.

Apply both your foundation and concealer as you normally would; to further help out your skin’s situation you should regularly apply skin creams that have vitamin c and k to improve your skin condition under your eyes.

If you were looking for a dark circle under your eyes treatment then you found it! The diet I proposed in this post will change your life in more ways than one.

I know some of you think it is a difficult life choice to commit to; but think about the long term health gains you will get.

Like I mentioned before, if you can’t commit to a whole foods diet then you might need to surgically improve the situation or just conceal the dark circles under your eyes.

I would like to invite you all to share your ideas and opinions about the whole foods diet and alternative effective ways of getting rid of dark circles under your eyes.

Thank you and be well.

Natural Skin Whitening That Works

Natural Skin Whitening That WorksMany people out there are looking for natural ways to whiten so you guessed it!

We will be talking about natural skin whitening methods that work!

Lets first get some basic skin care information out of the way.

Remember to always keep your skin clean and fresh as much as possible.

Avoid using the same old towel to dry your face, instead use a freshly cleaned cloth to clean and dry your face.

Remember to clean your pillow cases as many times as you can per week. I clean mine about 4 times a week.

You might think that’s extreme but think about it; your face spends 7 to 8 hours on your pillow case every night. If you don’t clean it beware.

Another important beauty tip that I always need to point out is the protection of your skin from harmful UV rays.

Pick your favorite SPF topical cream and commit yourself to using it daily, no matter what season you are in.

OK, lets get back on track. There are several all natural methods to whiten your skin. Here are a few:

Natural Skin Whitening Techniques

Method 1 – Apply lemon juice and tomato juice to your face before washing it in the morning. This easy to make mask requires one tomato and one lemon.

Squeeze their juices out and mix well. Leave this mixture on your face for about 15 minutes then wash it off with warm water.

Method 2 -Add one teaspoon of lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey, make sure to mix it well. Apply on your face and leave it on for 15 minutes then wash it off with warm water.

Method 3 – This is more of a supplementary tip. You should use Aloe Vera gel twice a day. Its a natural moisturizer that lightens the skin.

Two More Natural Skin Whitening Tips

Two more important tips that you need to consider for all of this to work.

First, you must exfoliate your skin to remove all of those dead skin cells that accumulate on your skin.

Secondly, be sure to alternate these techniques every other week because your skin will get used to these methods if you are only using one of them.

I hope these natural skin whitening methods help you achieve your goals.

If you have any advice or tips concerning all natural skin whitening methods then please share them in the comments section below.

Thank you and be well.
