Honey can be mixed with milk, dishes and biscuits. But what else can you use honey for? Believe it or not, honey can do wonders for your skin so I vote Honey For Skin!
Honey is a wise choice and a safe natural skin care alternative to commercial products we see in stores. In this post we will discuss some of these benefits.
Honey For Skin and Other Areas of The Body
Honey can be employed in our skincare regimen. You can use it as a beauty product in the following parts of your body:
- Digestive Tract
- Consume two teaspoons of honey on an empty stomach four times a day to treat dyspepsia, gastritis, sore throats and ulcers.
- Face
- Ground almonds and mix it with honey. This mixture makes a good facial scrub.
- Another recipe includes mixing a tablespoon of honey, egg white, a teaspoon of glycerin, and a quarter cup of flour. Apply the mixture to your face and let it stand for approximately 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
- Combine 2 tablespoons of honey with 2 teaspoons of whole milk. Apply it to your face and neck. Leave it for about 15 minutes and then rinse with warm water after. Finally, close off your pores by washing with cool water.
- You can also directly apply honey to your acne because of it’s antibacterial properties.
- Hair
- Mix a teaspoon of honey with 4 cups of water. Use this as a hair rinse to give your hair shine and luster. If you are a blond, it is advised that you add lemon juice to this rinse for reason that are out of the scope of this post.
- Skin
- Mix a teaspoon of honey, a teaspoon of olive oil, and half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply the mixture to your hands, elbows, and heels. Rinse it after about 15 minutes. This mixture/lotion soothes your skin and keeps the applied areas from drying.
- Teeth
- Make a mouthwash by combining a tablespoon of honey with a cup of warm water. This mouthwash kills germs and cleans your teeth.
Honey for skin care is an amazing thought. It can replace numerous facial, skin and hair care products. It can also kill germs in our mouth and can treat wounds in the digestive tract. Honey is definitely a gift from the bees. What do you think about it? Are you convinced? I recommend you try it out if your not. The result will speak for itself.
Take care and have a wonderful day!
