Natural Dry Skin TreatmentDo you ever wonder why most of us who stay in an air-conditioned room for a long time have very dry skin?  This is because cold air dries the skin.  To keep the skin from drying, I will share with you a natural dry skin treatment that you can try.

Natural Dry Skin Treatment Tips

First tip is to replenish the lost moisture in your skin. Do this by drinking lots of fluids.  Also lessen salt intake and foods with many preservatives.  Consume fiber-rich foods so your body can excrete toxins.  Toxins and salt are just some of the contributors of dry skin so all these should be avoided.

Second tip is to get the right amount of sleep.  A lack of sleep will cause a hormonal imbalance.  One sign of a hormonal imbalance is dry skin.  So if I were you, I’d hit the sack early so I can get more sleep.

Third is to avoid skin care products with harmful chemicals in it.  Some of the skin care products contain ingredients that can extremely dry the skin.  So you better check the ingredients before buying anything.  Look for natural ingredients and make sure these natural ingredients are on the top of the list.  Otherwise, leave the product on the shelf ladies.

Fourth and probably the most important tip is to use homemade skin care products.  You can make your own lotions, face masks and scrubs.  One example is the papaya mask.  Combine papaya with avocado and honey until a paste is produced.  Apply the paste on the skin but make sure that the skin is already cleansed.  Gently massage your face for about a minute so that the mixture is easily absorbed.  Leave the mixture for approximately one hour and then rinse.

The older we get, the more care and attention our skin needs.  So we should always keep in mind the four natural dry skin treatments in this post.  The earlier we start with these treatments, the better off our skin is in the future.
