Natural Skin Whitening

Natural Skin WhiteningDirect exposure to sunlight can darken your skin tones and cause pigmentation.  Pigmentation is when areas of your skin develop dark spots due to higher level of melanin.  Dark spots are pretty much like blemishes.  And like blemishes, they can be easily removed by using homemade products.  Natural skin whitening done at home can help you solve this problem so let’s get started my friends.

Natural Skin Whitening Methods

There are many ways to whiten our skin naturally.  Here are the steps and tips that you can follow at home:

1st step:  Get some olive oil, lemon or lime juice. Start by rinsing your skin with a mild soap and cloth once in the morning and again at night. Rub the soap with the cloth gently and then wash it off to get rid of dead cells.

2nd step:  Apply tomato and lemon juice to your face prior to washing in the morning.  The mask is made by blending one tomato and one lemon or lime.  Just apply it to your face and leave it on for about 15 minutes.

You may experience a slight discomfort and stinging sensation after the application but there’s nothing to worry about.  This is just normal and your skin will get used to this in no time.  You can keep the rest of the mixture in a sealed container and in the refrigerator.  It can only last for about a week so hurry up and use the mixture before it spoils.

3rd step:  Apply a honey and lemon juice moisturizing mask before going to bed at night. Just add one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of lemon juice,  mix well to make the mask. Apply directly to your face, arms and legs.  Leave it on for 15 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water.

The honey works as a moisturizer and the lemon as a whitener. Again you may feel a tingling sensation but with regular use, you will become accustomed to it.

4th step: Buy some organic Aloe Vera gel from your local herbal shop and apply it all over your body.  Do this twice a day on your clean skin. This gel is a natural moisturizer that does not only lighten the skin but also eliminates any irritation you may have.

The final step is exfoliation.  You can create your own recipe to remove your dead skin cells.  All you need to do is mix a tablespoon of olive oil and a tablespoon of white sugar.  Mix well until a paste is formed.  Gently massage the mixture to your face in circular motion.  Be careful though.  Don’t let it get inside your eyes as this may cause irritation.

The purpose of exfoliating is to remove all the dead cells from the skin’s surface.  This will also allow fresh skin to grow.  In addition, this process helps get rid of ingrown hairs.

Natural skin whitening is your alternative to skin whitening products available on the market.  Why not try this option before going for extreme and more expensive measures?  Try this solution and see for yourself.
